Scriptures Mentioned
Where there is no counsel, the people fall; but in the multitude of counselors there is safety.
– Proverbs 11:14
My Takeaways
Listen to what God is telling you. If it’s something that really excites you explore that!
Explore your dreams it comes from a place of God trying to give you that.
God has given you everything you need. I am capable of whatever He calls me to. God can take me through anything.
God wants us to slow down. We are in marathon not a sprint.
Ask God – What do you want?
Sometimes our complacency can also be a place where we should be still seeking God.
Small Business Legal Mistakes
1. Not having an actual legal entity (LLC). You don’t have to establish an LLC on day one but you need to get one early on when you start making money. You want to protect your personal assets.
2. Lack of protection for their brand – trademark/copyright
Intellectual property is creations of the mind.
Your color scheme, your fonts, your name, your logo, all those things are your company, you’ve created this personality, you’ve created this thing you don’t want people to steal. Businesses are just considering federally registering trademarks and copyrights too late.
Attorney fees are 100% tax deductible.
Get your nuts and bolts team – attorney, accountant, and a book keeper. Be proactive!
