About
Hi, Welcome to the Creative Force Podcast! This week, I have the privilege of speaking with Stasi Eldredge, author of Captivating - one of my all-time favorite books and a New York Times bestseller. Stasi and her husband, John, are the co-founders of Wild at Heart ministry. In this conversation, we talk about the core desires of a woman’s heart and the invitation Jesus extends to heal the wounded places within us. Your heart matters. And God - the great Romancer - has been passionately pursuing you and always will.
My Takeaways
Three core desires of a woman’s heart:
· To be romanced (to be pursued and to feel you are worth fighting for)
· To be play an irreplaceable role in an adventure
· To unveil beauty
Your value as a woman does not depend on whether you have been wooed and romanced by a man.
The core desires of a woman’s heart actually reflect the heart of God. God wants to be wanted.
There is a strength given to us as women on behalf of others.
The essence of beauty is love.
The only way you know what the lies are is by knowing the Truth.
Identify the lie, break off agreement with that lie, and then know the truth.
Invite Jesus in! You have to give Him access to your broken heart.
As you nurture your relationship with God you become more of your true self.
A woman at rest is a woman who is really beautiful and she invites others to rest to.
We are captivating to Him!
Part of resting is relaxing into the beauty He has bestowed.
You don’t have to wait to have a life of meaning.
Ask Him to open your eyes to see His romancing of you. Ask!
There are things that you love and they are love notes written personally to you from God.
Faith is spelled R-I-S-K.
Ask God this week: Do you love me and can you make that clear?
You have a faithful God who has been pursuing you every day of your life and He won’t stop.
Lean in on Him!
