S2 Ep. 10 - How to Hear God's Voice

S2 Ep. 10 - How to Hear God's Voice

About this Episode

Hi! Welcome to the Creative Force podcast. In this episode, I speak with my sweet friend Candice Owen. Candice is a professional dancer and instructor. In this episode, she shares her story on how God led her to go to Bible college, how we can hear God’s voice, and how God has led her to lead spirit led movement classes (and what exactly that is). If you have a desire for greater intimacy with God, this episode will bless you!

Scriptures Mentioned

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me. - John 10:27

A sower went out to sow his seed. – Luke 8:5

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. – Psalm 100:4

 My Takeaways

Motherhood is full of profound revelations.

God’s voice it feels like a gentle leading of peace or an inward push or pull.

Even in the hardships and challenges we can still be led by joy and peace.

It’s okay to not have understanding and to leave it with the Lord. He will always shed light on our obedience.

It wasn’t questioning if God was showing us the right way, it was questioning how?

As we follow the Lord, He leads you into your deepest desires.

If you submit it to God, it’s never in vain.

You hear my voice more than you think you do, and you need to respond to it.

Spending time with God doesn’t have to look a certain way. Invite Him into your every day.

He will show you what it will look like in that season.

Look for God in places you haven’t looked for Him before – we have to be open to it – you don’t have to strive, just open your heart, and expect it.

Don’t doubt – God would rather us miss it and be in faith then being worried if we are right or wrong.

We can’t let fear drive us we have to be willing to risk something.

If we are willing to risk God won’t let us fall.

Be willing to make some hard decisions in killing your flesh.

Dance is an expression to worship and glorify Him. What we are feeling on the inside is manifesting on the outside and we are bringing the spirit down.

Spirit led movement is helping people in a practical way to find their secret place.

The imagination is the language of the spirit.

Be thankful, then praise and declare who God is, and then that leads into worship and communion with Him.

It’s so important to keep a tender heart towards the Lord.
